Privacy Policy

BanjaraHub ("we", "us") operates a matrimony platform for the Banjara community. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using BanjaraHub you agree to this policy.

Information we collect

We collect the details you provide when creating a profile — your name, date of birth, gender, location, community/gotra, education, occupation, photos, partner preferences, and your mobile number for login. We also collect basic technical data (device, browser, and usage) to keep the service secure and working.

Identity verification (optional)

Identity verification is entirely optional — you can use BanjaraHub without it. If you choose to verify, we ask you to upload a photo of one government-issued identity document: a PAN card, passport, driving licence, or voter ID. Our team reviews it to confirm your name, and your profile then shows a "verified" badge to other members.

• If you upload an Aadhaar card, we use it only to confirm your name for the verification badge — we do not record your Aadhaar number, and the document image is deleted once the review is complete.
• Your document image is stored privately in an access-controlled location, readable only by our review team — never shown to other members and never made public.
• We delete the document image as soon as the review is completed — whether it is approved or not. After review we keep only a minimal record: the document type, the last few digits, the verification result, and the review date. We do not store your full ID number.
• The document is used solely to verify your identity — never for marketing or shared for any other purpose.

How we use your information

• To create and show your matrimony profile to other members.
• To let members express interest and message each other.
• To verify your identity, if you choose to, and show a verified badge on your profile.
• To send you one-time codes for login and important service notices.
• To keep the platform safe and prevent misuse.

What is public vs. private

Your profile details (name, age, photos, community, education, city, about) are visible to other visitors so they can find a match. Your mobile number and contact details are never shown publicly and are only used for login and platform notices.

Cookies and analytics

We use essential cookies needed to keep you signed in and to run the site. With your consent we also load the Meta (Facebook) Pixel, which helps us understand how people find BanjaraHub and measure our ads. It does not load until you choose “Accept” in the cookie banner — you can decline, and analytics cookies will not be set. When enabled, it shares limited activity (such as pages viewed) with Meta; you can also manage this from your Facebook ad settings.

Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with service providers that help us run the platform (hosting, database, SMS, identity verification), with Meta if you accept analytics cookies (see above), and where required by law.

Your choices

You can edit your profile, hide it from search, or delete it at any time from your account page. Deleting your account removes your profile and photos. Any identity document you uploaded is deleted once its review is complete; a document still awaiting review is removed when you delete your account.
